Mangaluru, Nov 19: With the festive spirit soaring in the city, NorthernSky Properties observed Green Deepavali 2020 on the campus of its latest mega project NorthernSky City at Pumpwell Junction. Deepavali, the festival of lights, is the most popular and inclusive Indian community festival which transcends all faiths. It is all about spreading joy and celebrating human relationships. Varieties of activities were held over the weekend in the exotic landscape of NorthernSky City to enable families, especially children, to have the time of their life.
Responding to the growing public sentiment to conserve the environment, NorthernSky Properties put up a grand celebration comprising eco-friendly activities using sustainable-living products. Pollution-free celebration was the focus theme for Green Deepavali 2020. A magical ambience was created and the venue was brought alive with landscape illumination covering all the common areas.
Green Deepavali 2020 at NorthernSky City was a splendid experience combining tradition, fun and entertainment with genuine human bonding. The event gave engaging opportunities and memorable interactive experiences for creating a strong human connect. Food carnival was organized for the residents with stalls like Black Sugar, Maras Turkish Ice Cream, Kulukki, Mast Banaras Pan and Mangalore Corn offering unique culinary experiences.
Being a truly a community oriented festival, sharing and caring is the essence of Deepavali and no one should be left out. Living up to this ideal, NorthernSky Properties partnered with mangalorevarthe.com to launch ‘Joy of Gifting Toys’. This is a unique initiative to enable children to share their favourite toys that they longer use with less fortunate kids. NorthernSky City served as a collection centre for such toys and gifts to be promptly distributed to spread joy among children in this season of festivity. RJ Prasanna of 93.5 RED FM has participated in this community charity initiative by releasing a video appeal inviting children to donate their toys and gifts for ‘Joy of Gifting Toys’.
