YSRCP leaders rally for safe driving and against eve-teasing

Visakhapatnam, Nov 20 (IANS): The YSRCP on Friday took out a bike rally in support of safe driving and against eve-teasing.

The rally was led by senior Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy V. and was attended by many leaders from the party.

Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu, Mattamsetti Srinivas Rao and other leaders and activists took part in the rally.

"I thank the ministers and activists who participated in the safe driving and anti-eve teasing rally," said Reddy.

The rally traversed from R.K. Beach to the Gitam College in Rushikonda.

Reddy pillion rode a bullet driven by Gudivada Amaranath, Anakapalle MLA.

He spoke about the importance of safe driving as many people are succumbing in road accidents.

The MP also distributed a few helmets to some people who attended the rally.

Separately, he praised the leadership of Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for inspiring the reverse migration of more than two lakh students from private schools to the government schools.

"As many 2.5 lakh students have left the private schools for government schools, have you ever imagined anything like this. That is CM Jagan," he said.

He took a dig at former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and claimed that he closed many schools on the pretext of low attendance.

"He (Naidu) abandoned government schools without building infrastructure and clapped for private educational institutions," claimed Reddy.
