Mangaluru: Research committee webinar held at St Agnes College (Autonomous)

Mangaluru, Nov 21: A national webinar 'The Limitless Arena of Research in Language' was virtually conducted on the campus of St Agnes College (Autonomous), here, on November 19 from 3 pm to 5 pm.

It was organized by the research committee of the college under the Paramarsh scheme of the state.

Dr Chumki Biswas, University of Mumbai, was the resource person. There were 1124 participants from all over the country who registered for this webinar. The webinar commenced with an invocation followed by the welcome and introduction of the resource person.



Dr Biswas spoke on the new age of integrative research or multidisciplinary research in the arena of linguistics and languages and classified the various types of research possibilities making the programme insightful. She also introduced the deeper levels of classification in this area.

The main purpose of the webinar was to create awareness about the field, to create interest in the subject and to help interested researchers to make the right decisions and translate them into actions.

The content offered by Dr Biswas was excellent and received much acclaim from the participants throughout the webinar. E-certificates were awarded to the participants after the vote of thanks was proposed.

Dr R Nagesh was the convenor of the webinar and Shailaja K was the organizing secretary.
