Bengaluru: ‘I am a Swayamsevak of RSS’ - C T Ravi taunts Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, Nov 23: "I am not the founder of RSS. I am a Swayamsevak (volunteer) of Sangh. Dr Keshava Balirama Hegadewar took Bhagavad flag and the ideology that ideals are greater than human being as his guru," tweeted BJP national general secretary C T Ravi.

This tweet of C T Ravi was in reply to the question of former chief minister and leader of opposition Siddaramaiah, who had questioned C T Ravi that whether he is the founder of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) or the accomplice of Hegadewar.

Taunting Siddaramaiah further, Ravi said, "The Sangh teaches the volunteers that country comes first. Little for self and everything for the society kind of ideology. You have to attend Shakha of RSS if you have to understand this and also live without casteism and untouchability feeling that we are all children of Bharath Matha.

"I will not ask you whether you are the grandson of A O Hume, who founded Congress. I will not say also that you are the step son of late Indira Gandhi. I will not accuse you that you changed party for the sake of power. But would like to tell you that nationalism is better than dynasty and casteism.

"In the party in which you are at present vote bank is more important than the country. Your party follows dynasty politics and not democracy. Who is there to teach lesson of patriotism to Congress party members who have gone out of the way?

"Mahatma Gandhi is not alive today. Congress has totally discarded his ideology during the time of Nehru itself. In order to understand patriotism in a simple manner, the Shakha of RSS is the best way. That is why I have contacted the public. How many more days you will continue selfish and cheating politics? It is left to you,” Ravi stated in his tweets.

    He is a worker of RSS and not of the people, no one will question him about his performance because his only agenda is religion. No one needs to learn about patriotism from a shady outfit who never hoisted the National flag for over 50 years.

    I heard the other day from someone who was saying that this Ravi was some small time contractor a few years back and now he owns acres and acres of land around Chickmangalore. I don't know how much of what I heard is true but if indeed that is true, then doesn't this statement that country comes first, everything for society, little for self, blah blah blah - doesn't all this fly in the face of what I heard about him? Or is it that the man has two faces and two tongues, one for the public and one private.

    Vishal, your comments are true, C T Ravi is a idiot for some, and a legend for others, he is a product of RSS, no point in worrying too much in what he says.

    But your name of the place is wrong, there is never a place called Chickmangalore. in any part of India. It is called Chikamagaluru.

    Wonder why Congress is humiliating itself? In my opinion its better to ditch both BJP and even Congress for the matter. Here we see Congress bash RSS and at the same time, in Maharashtra they are in hand in hand in Shiv Sena . The Game is up. As someone pointed out below. A leader said openly on TV that 'Congress is politically impotent to counter BJP and MODI' . The party has lost it completely.

    Whatever you are MR. Ravi , concentrate on development and recommend for peace among each other’s. Don’t divide people by saying so called karasevak etc. we need to focus on developing the nation. We should have some law to elect educated people to see the better future of our nation. But these people devising us.
    I don’t know where are we heading since other countries are building better future for their nation. We as a voter should get United and teach these type of politicians..
    I love my country and I am proud to be an Indian.

    On this forum, commentators are loosing sight and seeing the trees for the skies.
    Nobody decries as to why Siddu has to needle CT Ravi. CT Ravi has had lot of organizational exposure and since has been catapulted to a National role. He has sacrificed his Minister-ship too for this and now performs a powerful role, only allowed in volunteer based cadre based organization like the RSS or the BJP.

    Siddu on other hand, has completely failed within his organization (The CONgress), completely failed as a leader - having brought down party from power to looser, and playing second fiddle to JDS. Now, shunned by own party men, Siddu is trying hard to stay in news by nudging attitude.

    With a gutless and spineless opposition and its chelas , this is what you can expect . Mr. Owasi had made it very clear to the leaders of the Grand old party on a national TV debate after the Bihar elections last week. Owaisi said ''I say with NO respect, that your party is incompetent to fight the BJP and the leaders are impotent to take on Narendra Modi''. Though its shocking , its the reality, we have seen it during the CAA/NRC protests. Coming on internet forums with fake ids and being 'lions of the internet' wont revive the party!!!

    Million Dollar question is can a Govt which made Hindustan world no one in beef export be called as patriotic...,? Can such Govt be called as patriotic when it's leaders spend tax payers money which include tax collected from beef exporters...????

    Nobody can deny the fact that Hindustan's first terrorist was at one or the other point of time followed the ideology and ideals is this Self proclaimed nationalist/ patriotic organisation....(after all they were agents of Christian missionaries, who then mentored & made them wear cheddi which was invented by them as a symbol of or testimony to slavery, ... irony is that now it's changed to trousers, again a gentleman dress code of Britisers(Aryans))

    This is where I have a problem with the RSS. 'Country comes first'. Why is not 'ones' own family come first'. Yes, we have to be patriotic. Our country will not prosper if our own kith and kin are neglected. Explains why some politicians leave their wives and children or neglect them and 'fight' electoral battles.

    If numbers are any indication of the greatness of any organisation then Nazis would have been the best party in Germany with millions of members. If, in a crowd of thousand, 999 are thieves and one is a good person, then 999 cannot become good people because they are bigger in number and one good man does not become thief because he in minority.
