Mangalore: Conference on Frontiers in Mechanical Engineering at NIT – K Inaugurated

Mangalore, May 20: The mechanical engineering department of National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) organized three-day national conference on ‘Frontiers in mechanical engineering’ - FIME2010 to mark golden jubilee year celebrations was inaugurated on Thursday May 20. 











Sathyan, director, CMTI, Bangalore inaugurated the conference. Professor Jean Barnard Michael from Switzerland, Summer University was the guest of honour. Professor Sandeep Sancheti, director, NIT - K, Suratkal presided.

The three-day conference focuses on mechanical engineering in the modern era. Professor Appu Kuttan, organizing secretary and Dr G C Mohan Kumar, conference chairman, informed that about 220 academic scholars from all over the world are presenting papers at the conference.
