Bantwal, Dec 4: A mad dog in Vittal vicinity has bitten seven people including children.
Chandalika resident Aharaj (6), Bobbekeri resident Mousif (16), Ira resident Mustafa (31), Vittal Kasba resident Aniruddu (27), Kadambu resident Radhakrishna (52) and Alike resident Bhaskar (49) are the victims of the incident who are being treated at the Vittal community health centre. Two people among them have suffered serious injuries. They are admitted to a private hospital in Puttur. Those with minor wounds are getting treated in Vittal.
The dog that came from Vittal temple road via Bobbekeri ran till the market and attacked everybody on the road. The Friends Vittal team, under the guidance of Muraleedhar got down to action and succeeded in catching the dog. As the dog has bit several street dogs, people are concerned.
