SCR advises passengers to check train timings as many affected

Secunderabad, Dec 7 (IANS): In the light of most train schedules getting affected due to regular operation of special trains in the South Central Railway (SCR) zone, officials advised railway passengers to check and verify their train timings before commencing journeys.

"Subsequent to introduction of regular special trains and festival special trains, train timings are revised for most of the passenger train services due to operational reasons," said a railway zone official.

He said train timings have changed at the origin station, en route stations and also at the destination for some of the trains originating and terminating in the railway zone, including some passing through it.

"Railway passengers are, therefore, advised to please check and verify the revised train timings pertaining to their rail journeys either with integrated enquiry number 139 or national train enquiry system (NTES) website or IRCTC or approaching authorised person in a nearby reservation counter," said the official.

The railway zone has also requested for the submission of phone numbers of actual travellers for receiving regular updates on the change in train timings.

Following the suspension of regular train services, railways partially restored some services in the form of special trains.

Over the past several days, railways zone officials notified the changes in train timings to many trains.
