Rahul 'Very Appropriate Addition' to Cabinet: PM

New Delhi, May 24 (IANS): Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi will be a "very appropriate addition" to the cabinet, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said Monday, adding he will be "very happy to make place for anybody".

"Rahul is very qualified to hold a cabinet post," the prime minister said at a press conference, saying he had discussed the matter with him on a number of occasions.

Gandhi was, however, reluctant to give a positive answer, Manmohan Singh said. "He is doing a good job... he has duties to perform in reviving the Congress party."

According to Manmohan Singh, Gandhi would a "very appropriate addition" to the cabinet "as and when he is ready".

"Well, I sometimes feel that young people should take over (as prime minister)... I would be very happy to make place for anybody," he said.

No doubt,as PM Manmohan Singh rightly said,Rahul Gandhi is the very appropriate addition to the cabinet.Rahul Gandhi,in my opinion is unlikely to join the cabinet now because he is totally working on strengthening Congress party. He was the highest travelled man for 2009 general election campaining and was responsible for ion of qualified candidates. For the first time young telented candidates were inducted in to the cabinet. He is the first person to accord priority to qualified youths in politics.

Before any other party could moot the idea, he has already introduced it.He was the King maker of 2009 general election.I am sure that this young leader will bring quality changes further in the 2014 elections and he is on the job while all other parties are sleeping confortably. No wonder 2014 election will be surely hatric for Congress party.
