Jharkhand police announces cash rewards on 12 Maoists


Ranchi, Dec 10 (IANS): The Jharkhand police on Thursday announced a cash reward on 12 Maoist guerrillas wanted in different cases of upto Rs 1 crore.

A press statement by the police headquarters on Thursday said,"The state police has announced a cash reward on 12 Maoist guerrillas active in the state. Anyone who will give information about these Maoists or their properties will get the cash reward."

The police has announced Rs 1 crore reward each on Misir Besra alias Bhaskarji, Prashant Bose alias Kisanda alias Manish Urf, Analda alias Toofan alias Patiram Manjhi alias Ramesh and Asim Mandal alias Akash alias Timir.

The guerrillas each carrying Rs 25 lakh reward are Chaman alias Lamboo alias Karamchand Hansda, Lalchand Hembrom alias Anmol Da, Mochu alias Mehnut alias Bhibhishan alias Kumba Murmu, Ajay alias Ajay Mahto alias Tiger alias Bsudeo.

There are two Maoists each of whom carry a Rs 15 lakh reward -- Amit Munda alias Sukhlal Munda alias Chuka Munda and Suresh Singh.

There are two Maoist guerrillas each with a Rs 10 lakh reward -- Jeevan Kandulana alias Patras Kandulana and Maharaj Pramanik alias Raja Pramnik.

The police headquarters has also issued the mobile phone numbers of the police officials with whom information on these guerrillas could be shared.

Maoist guerrillas are active in 18 of the 24 districts in the state.
