Udupi, Dec 12: “The historic achievement of state chief minister B S Yediyurappa led BJP government to have tabled the anti-cattle slaughter bill in the Vidhan Sabha and have it approved, considering the sentiments of crore of cattle lovers is welcome. But is there scope for cattle slaughter in the soft Hindu policy of the Congress party which opposes the bill?” asked BJP district president, Kuyilady Suresh Nayak.
“Cattle are being revered in Indian Sanatana culture. The silence of the Congress government about cattle thieves, who have been stealing cattle tied in sheds, transporting and slaughtering them day and night, is a proof for double standards of the Congress party. BJP by the anti-cattle slaughter bill has implemented its promise made in the election manifesto.
“The people of the state have understood the crocodile tears of former chief minister Siddaramaiah who is well known for his opportunistic politics. The true colours of appeasement politics of Congress party which has been always following anti-Hindu policies are exposed when they opposed the bill. But the passing of the bill by the BJP led government in the state is definite. The people in the state will teach a lesson to Congress in the upcoming gram panchayat elections,” said Kuyilady in a press release.
