1 dead after 10 rockets hit Kabul


Kabul, Dec 12 (IANS): At least one person was killed and two others were injured on Saturday after 10 rockets were fired into different parts of Kabul city, Afghanistan's Interior Affairs Ministry said.

According to the Ministry, the rockets were fired from capital city's Lab-e-Jar area, TOLO News reported.

The rockets landed in various parts of the city, including near the airport and the residential areas of Hawashinasi, Zan Abad and Khwaja Rawash, it added.

Speaking to Xinhua news agency, Interior Ministry spokesman Tareq Arian said that investigations were underway into the attack, without proving further details.

This is second rocket attack in Kabul in the past one month.

On November 21, at least 23 rockets were fired on different parts of the city that killed eight civilians.
