Kundapur, Dec 15: “Haddoor Rajiv Shetty had believed that work is worship. He used his time for productive purposes. He moulded himself a model farmer, dairyman and head of the undivided family. His concern towards dairy farmers was immense,” said Dakshina Kannada Milk Producers Union (DKMUL) vice president S Prakashchandra Shetty.
He was speaking at a homage-paying ceremony held for the former president of the DKMUL who passed away on December 9. The ceremony was organised by Kundapur taluk Milk Producers Cooperative Association Employees Welfare Trust in Bakisam auditorium on December 14.
“Rajiv Shetty spoke to the point and took a stand for the welfare of the people. He had disposed of several issues in the panchayat itself and was beloved to all,” he said.
Trust state treasurer Dayananda Rao paying homage said, "Rajiv Shetty was content being in the field of agriculture. He was a hard worker and served as a guide to the farmers. He made sure to utilize every inch of his land without letting any part be barren. He has been always known for the service he rendered to the society."
District secretary Sulekha Shetty, Raghavendra Kome, Ramesh Kumar Basrur, Venkatesh Kini and milk producers cooperative association president, secretary and staff were present.
Ulthoor milk producers cooperative association secretary Pratap Ulthoor paid homage and compered the programme.
