Mangaluru: Association of physicians of India celebrates 'Physician’s Day'

Mangaluru, Dec 15: The association of physicians of India, district chapter on December 13 celebrated Physician’s Day at IMA house, here.

Father Muller Institute director, Fr Richard Coelho was the chief guest. He said that the current COVID situation has made doctors corona warriors. He commended the doctor’s part in making definite decisions regarding patient’s illnesses, their medical skills and selfless service in treating the patients.

Veteran doctors Dr K Sunder Bhat, Dr Prabha Adhikari and Dr Kishore Kumar Ubrangala were felicitated for their relentless and devoted service.

The second edition of the e-magazine ‘API Dakshina Kannada Lahari’ was released. KMC Mangaluru, medicine department assistant professor Dr Archith Boloor was presented ‘Award of excellence’ and felicitated for authoring a medical book.

API Dakshina Kannada former president and KMC Mangaluru medicine division professor Dr Christopher Pais and elected president Dr Ganesh Khandige were the guests of honour. API Dakshina Kannada division president, Dr Venkatesh B M welcomed the gathering. Dr Archana Bhat rendered the vote of thanks.
