Protesting farmer shoots himself dead at Singhu border

New Delhi, Dec 16 (IANS): As the farmers' agitation against the new agricultural laws entered its 21st day, a 65-year-old farmer committed suicide at the Singhu border protest site on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Baba Ram Singh of Singhra village in Nissing area of Haryana's Karnal district.

The farmer left a suicide note which states that he couldn't see the ordeal of farmers who are sitting on the outskirts of the national capital protesting against the recently-passed farm laws.

Is BJP/Modi the same party that blamed Congress and it's policies for farmer suicides ?

Now what are you saying ? Congress or Nehru enticed this suicide ? Own up Mr. Modi, own up your responsibility and return the peace to India. Let the sons soil, who grow the food the entire nation feeds on, live. You might sustain on imported mushrooms but the citizens can't afford that.

Very sad to hear that the farmer shot himself dead!!!??? May his soul rest in peace. He must have fedup of the ongoing protest with out any outcome??? It seems that Government doesn't have the will to repeal the laws. Dictatorial reforms without proper discussion at all party meeting and also with UNIONS concerned!!!???

What more ‘Welfare’ is expected of Modi for farmers?????????...........This should be headlines in all international news. This must send a clear message to govt that its for long long time till farmer’s demands are met.

Farmers have already done this meeting with govt before SC advised and proved useless. This is only to give teeth to govt for dishonouring SC advice and ban the peaceful protest and arrest them as its illegal and against SC order.

Why farmers should go to court when Modi didn't even consider the existence of Parliament when enacting the Bills ??

Arrogant Modi/Shah/Nadda have the farmer's blood on their hands now. God knows how many more will kill themselves. India didn't have more cruel PM than Modi in the nation's history.
