CRPF trooper injured in militant grenade attack in Kashmir


Srinagar, Dec 17 (IANS) One Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper was injured on Thursday in a militant grenade attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district.

The police said militants hurled a grenade at a joint party of the security forces deployed outside the hospital in Bijbehara town of Anantnag district.

"One CRPF jawan identified as Patil Padmamakar of 40 battalion received injuries in this attack. He has been shifted to hospital for treatment.

"The area has been cordoned off for searches", police said.
