Delhi man shot at after argument


New Delhi, Dec 17 (IANS): A 27-year-old man was shot in the leg after an argument in central Delhi's Jama Masjid area on Thursday.

During preliminary enquiry it was revealed that a quarrel had taken place between the victim and some persons near Chitli Qabar Chowk. The victim was admitted to RML Hospital.

The incident occured when the victim was going home. A person identified as Saddu, resident of Haveli Azam Khan (Jama Masjid area) along with two associates obstructed the victim's path and fired in the air and then shot him twice in the leg.

"Four empty shells, three of one type and one of other with two lead pieces have been recovered from the scene of crime. The victim is fit to give a statement and under treatment. A case is being registered," said DCP (Central) Sanjay Bhatia.
