Patna, Dec 18 (IANS): Former Chief Minister and head of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) Jitan Ram Manjhi, who is also part of the ruling Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government, has indirectly acknowledged the increase in incidents of crime in the state. However, he has blamed the RJD and its allies for the problem.
Manjhi said up to 80 per cent of the incidents of crime in the state would automatically end if the Opposition Grand Alliance tells their party workers to behave themselves.
Manjhi tweeted from his official Twitter account on Friday, saying, "Leaders of the RJD and its allies who are expressing concerns about the crime rate in Bihar are urged to request their party workers and jailed leaders to behave themselves, then more than 80 per cent criminal cases will end in the state."
Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has been continuously targeting the Nitish Kumar government over the increase in crime incidents in Bihar.
