Teaching in Classes 10 and 12 in Jharkhand to resume from Dec 21

Ranchi, Dec 18 (IANS): Classroom teaching for students of Classes 10 and 12 outside the containment zones in Jharkhand will resume from Monday next, following the issuance of a circular by the state government.

As per the notification, approval from the parents would be needed for students who wish to attend their classes to be conducted as per Education Department guidelines.

Meanwhile, the online classes will also continue. The managements or officials concerned can also direct students to visit schools to fill up forms and for registration purposes subject to the permission of their parents.

Social distancing and other guidelines issued amid the coronavirus pandemic will have to be followed.

From December 21, classes will also recommence in medical, dental and nursing colleges across the state.

The Jharkhand government has granted permission to Sri Krishna Administrative Training Institute, State Institute of Rural Development, Police Training College, Forest Training School, and Jharkhand State Sports Promotion Society to conduct offline classes.

The government has also said that from Monday onwards, only up to 300 persons are allowed to gather at any religious or wedding function, depending on the size of the premises or ground available.
