Kolkata, Dec 19 (IANS): A convoy of as many as 30 vehicles headed out for the Midnapore College Ground where Union Home Minister Amit Shah was scheduled to address a mega public meeting on Saturday.

The convoy packed with dissident lawmakers, MPs and other Trinamool Congress leaders set out for the venue at around 12.15 p.m. from Mecheda's guest house in East Midnapore.

They started after former West Bengal Transport and Irrigation Minister Suvendu Adhikari stepped out of his Contai residence for the Midnapore College Ground.

According to sources, at least nine sitting legislators, besides Suvendu Adhikari, and a Lok Sabha MP from the state's ruling Trinamool Congress, Left Front and the Congress are there in the convoy.

Apart from them, many district leaders were also on the list of those who will join the saffron brigade on Saturady afternoon during Shah's grand event.

I can only say that Indian politicians are only running after money and nothing else.
Nobody cares about the people or the country. All our MLAs and MPs are for sale. They don't have any ethics, principles and they are not answerable to the voters too. They simply go to whoever offers them the biggest suitcase. This exactly is happening in Kahrnataka and West Bengal.

Modi and Amit Shah are only interested in elections becoz they know that once they loose then they will have a lot to answer for all the scams that have taken place in the last six years. The amount of corruption that has taken place under their reign would be mind boggling.

Amit Shah has time to waste for elections but has no time for lakhs of poor farmers who are protesting against the farm laws day and night in biting cold wave conditions outside delhi.

This Suit Boot Ki Sarkar should be thrown out the earlier the better for the country. All these rallies are a waste of public money when so many people are suffering across the country. It could also be used as a smokescree to justify likely EVM Hacking.

EVM Gulata Bandh Karo Bandh Karo. Ballot Papers Shuru Karo.

Parliament cant run bcoz of COVID - 19, but election rallies can. How indians are voting BJP. R we serious or joking around. This is why demonitisation was done. All these who are leaving trinamool are the most corrupted. They eat 5 years in the name of Trinamool and now they want to eat in the name of BJP. Hats off to my Indian friends.
