Amit Shah holds grand roadshow in Bengal

Kolkata, Dec 20 (IANS): Amid much fanfare and cheer, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday held a grand roadshow in West Bengal's Birbhum district.

The roadshow in Bolpur started from Hanuman Mandir on Stadium Road and continued till it reached Bolpur Circle.

"We will form the government in Bengal with more than 200 Assembly seats. Many people are joining BJP in Bengal to voice protest against Mamata Banerjee-led state government's misrule," said Shah.

Replying to Trinamool's "outsider" statement, he said that West Bengal will have a Bengali CM when the BJP comes to power.

Cloaked in saffron colours, the district town of Bolpur wore a festive look as thousands of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters throng the road with party flags to welcome the Union minister. Shah received a warm welcome on his arrival this afternoon.

Shah held the rally at Bolpur after visiting Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore's Viswa Bharati University. He paid floral tribute to Tagore at the Visva Bharati campus in Shantiniketan.

He also visited Shyambati in Birbhum where Shah, along with BJP state unit president Dilip Ghosh, national general secretary (in-charge of West Bengal) Kailash Vijayvargiya, and national vice-president Mukul Roy, shared a meal with the family of a Baul singer at their residence.

Shah's visit to the district was aimed at taking stock of his party's affairs in Bengal ahead of the high-voltage 2021 Assembly election, which is just a few months away.

He is the Home Minister who remained silent when Delhi was burning.

Both he and Modi are only interested in elections becoz they are mortally scared of loosing elections as they will have to answer the total mess they have created of the country and the rampant corruption across the country or these road shows are only a smokescreen to justify EVM Tampering during the elections.

Lakhs of farmers are braving the bitter and harsh cold and this insensitive HM is busy n elections.

    BJP Hatao Desh Bachao.

EVM Gulata Bandh Karo Bandh Karo. Ballot Paper Shuru Karo.

Mamta is right to point out that BJP sending 'Chadda, Nadda, Fadda, Baddha.' to Bengal will not lead to BJP winning Bengal.

If that was the case she wouldn’t have confidently allowed Amit Shah to dance in Bengali Gali Gali citing COVID restrictions. He will entertain people and leave. That’s All. You can also dance with him.

Amit Shah has all the time in the world to dance in streets of W. Bengal without observing COVID guidelines for elections sake but do not have time to address farmers 25 days and continuing genuine grievances. Then how can he address genuine concerns of people of Bengal once he wins elections????????....

If you have proven track record of good governance there is no need of this grand once during election fanfare. People will automatically vote for the right party as in Delhi. Is there no IT, ED and CAG raid and accountability for this extravaganza spending and source of this money??????????.....

    Grand roadshow don't come cheap.

In a nation showing negative GDP, the power hungry people don't let any chance go. PM Cares Fund must be put to best use by these illiterates.
