Recoveries continue to outnumber new cases in J&K


Jammu, Dec 24 (IANS): Jammu and Kashmir recorded 291 new coronavirus cases and seven deaths on Thursday while 299 patients were discharged from various hospitals after recovery, an official bulletin said.

According to the bulletin, the new cases included 144 from the Jammu division and 147 in the Kashmir division.

So far, 119,344 people have been infected with coronavirus in J&K, out of which 113,944 have recovered, while 1,860 have succumbed.

The Union Territory now has 3,540 active cases, out of which 1,779 are in the Jammu division and 1,761 in the Kashmir division.
