Kaup: Two pedestrians dead after being hit by speeding car near Yermal

Kaup, Dec 25: In a tragic incident, two pedestrians died after a speeding car rammed into them near Yermal here on Friday December 25.

The deceased have been identified as Sanjeeva Devadiga of Yermal and Arvind, a native of Uttar Pradesh.

It is learnt that Sanjeeva and Arvind were standing by the roadside when an Alto car, moving from Udupi towards Mangaluru, smashed into them.

It is said that the driver of the car, identified as Sanath from Mudipu, lost control of the vehicle due to high speed.

Both Sanjeeva and Arvind sustained critical injuries and passed away.

Padubidri police arrived at the spot and registered a case.

    So sorry,two people died with no fault of their own.Heartfelt sympathys to their family.May their soul rest in peace.Driver must be made to pay the compansation to both families.Not from Govt.otherwise one never learns how to act on roads.

    A very sad and deadly accident. RIP, Sanjeeva Devadiga and Arvind. Both these pedestrians were killed by speeding driver of the car. I think he was on a killing spree.

    Ozy, Surathkal, Not drunk pilot as otherwise we would have seen parts of an aircraft on the roads in Yermal.

    Evans Sumitra New York,he was a pilot of Yermal Yama Airlines.Am sure he had no licence at all either driving or airlines definately as well.
