Pankaj Vishnu, Puran Kiri join telly series 'Ranju Ki Betiyaan'

Mumbai, Dec 29 (IANS): Actors Pankaj Vishnu and Puran Kiri will join Reena Kapoor, Ayub Khan and Deepshikha Nagpal in the upcoming television show, Ranju Ki Betiyaan.

"My character Laal mama is very interesting. He is the problem creator. So he will bring the funny element in the narrative and will also be the reason behind the twists in the show," Pankaj Vishnu said.

"It is a challenging one for me as the character is not close to what I am as a real person. It has a negative tinge to it that is difficult for me to pull off. But I am all prepared and excited to be a part of this one," Pankaj added.

Talking about the show, Puran shared: "After being in the industry for so long, I always try to take offers that are very different from what I do and have seen. The character they have offered me is also so different from what I usually do. I probably will have to do a little homework before we start shooting."

"My character is well fit, my co-stars are immensely talented and experienced... It is going to be one exciting journey," he added.

Reena Kapoor, known for television shows such as "Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki", "Vishnu Puran" and "Jai Ganga Maiya", will be coming back on the small screen with the show. The plot of Rashmi Sharma's show has been kept under wraps. It will be launched on Dangal TV in January.
