Mumbai, Jun 5 (IANS): Celebrating World Environment Day, automobile major Mahindra and Mahindra organised free service camps across the country for its vehicles Saturday, a company official said.
As part of the company's green initiative, around 5,000 vehicles were given free pollution checks at 108 Mahindra dealerships across 76 cities.
"Customers visiting our dealerships received a complementary vehicle check up along with free PUC (pollution under control) certificate on a 75-point check list," Pawan Goenka, President, Auto & Farm Sector, Mahindra and Mahindra said
"We are committed to our greenfield projects and this is our endeavour in generating awareness amongst the people on global warming," Goenka added.
The 75-point check was conducted by trained professionals to ensure quality of service for the customers. The camps were held in tier I and tier II cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Pune and Jaipur amongst others.
