Mangaluru: BJP, SDPI workers celebrate GP poll victory - Police restrain activists

Mangaluru, Dec 30: Workers of BJP and SDPI are vociferously celebrating the victory of their respective candidates in the gram panchayat elections, the counting of which is being held at MGC School in Bondel.

Both party workers are celebrating on the road, holding the party flags and causing obstruction to traffic.

Police are trying to restrain the activists and make smooth way for traffic.

KSRP battalion is deployed on the spot as a precautionary measure.

    How come Modi or Amit Shah did not come for campaigning. Otherwise all the seats would have been won by BJP.

    This is an eyeopener for all. In my view, its better to make SDPI the new opposition face. For sure, if there is unity, we can make it a formidable force to fight the BJP. Its high time there is a change. We are tired or all these press conferences , panju meravanige etc called by tried , tested and lost people who have lost relevance in current politics. Needless to mention about the flop CAA one sided protest. Yes new party, new young faces ,new strategies, new ideas, is the order of the day to counter the BJP.

    you people always blaming like pro pakistan slogan or Pakistan flag and all, i think you have major problems in you minds or you can not make out differences of their slogan and flag .
    actually i am not supporter of SDPI but i noticed that they never pro Pakistan
