Mangalore: Fake Currency Circulation – Four Held

Mangalore, Jun 6: The special squad of superintendent of police from Dakshina Kannada district has arrested four persons trying to circulate fake currencies in the city and have seized fake notes worth Rs 1.7 lac.

The police findings reveal that the arrested are basically from West Bengal. Mohammad Muktar Shiek (32), Sharikul (20), Abdul Kalik (20) and Abdul Sherif (19), all belong to Malda, West Bengal.

The police squad under the leadership of sub-inspector K Prakash arrested the four lawbreakers from a hotel room in the city.

The police have also seized Rs 20,000 original currencies. For further investigation the squad has gone to West Bengal.

    Fake currency circulation affects entire economy and put hard impact on public life in many respects. Law breakers apply sophisticated technologies to create fake currency and it is heart-breaking to witness innocent civilians who are not able to trace these currencies are becoming  end target for authorities leading enquiries.
    No doubt, corrupt and selfish based political leaders act as godfathers for these type of anti-social strengths, in many cases they misuse their authority and hold to support terrorism activities also. It is foolish to think about safe social atmosphere until strict action getting enforced against increasing criminal relationship in between corrupt rulers and officials.
    We read number of cases in which officials arrested criminals indulging in  fake currency circulation but it is shameful to realize that at the end nobody get punished.
    May be I am wrong, it would be a shame and regret to reveal…..but its reality….we feel ashamed to be identified as civilians of one among prospective country where democratic ruling completed more than half decade.
