Bangalore, Jun 6: Engineering college teachers, who have been pressuring the government to implement the revised AICTE pay scale have decided to meet on June 22 to deliberate on next course of action.

Federation of Engineering College Teachers' Associations of Karnataka president S Vidyashankar said that the evaluation of second, fourth and sixth semester answer scripts was scheduled to begin on June 25 and before that on June 22, we will meet and decide whether we should boycott the evaluation work,” he said.

Though the centre notified the AICTE pay scale in March this year and several states, including Tamil Nadu and Assam, had implemented it, the state government was just delaying the matter.
