Bangalore, Jun 7: S Shivakumar, a veteran stuntman of Sandalwood, having worked in over 100 films, has been accused of killing his wife, Shobha (34) by hitting her head with a grinding stone in the early hours on Sunday June 6. Reportedly, Shivakumar was in an inebriated condition while committing the crime.
The policemen of the city north division said that the two children of couple watched in horror, as the murder took place in front of their eyes, and that Hari Vighnesh, son of the accused, has filed a complaint in this regard. Reportedly, the couple had a long-drawn discord between them, and Stunt Artists’ Association, of which Shivakumar is an office bearer, also had tried to sort out the matters between them.
It is learnt that Shivakumar came home at around midnight on Sunday after attending a party, before having food and going to bed. He woke up early morning on Sunday and started abusing Shobha. As his verbal onslaught was retaliated by his wife in equal measure, Shivakumar reportedly grew angry, picked up the grinding stone and hit his wife’s head with it, leaving her profusely bleeding. Shobha died within minutes thereafter at the family’s home at Ganganagar in the city.
Shivakumar has been arrested. H S Revanna, deputy commissioner of police, said that the policemen have taken up investigation of the case.
