Anupria Goenka hopes for a better year ahead


Mumbai, Jan 5 (IANS): Actress Anupria Goenka says the success of Criminal Justice Behind Closed Doors leaves her with the hope for a better year.

"The success of 'Criminal Justice Behind Closed Doors' makes the end of 2020 exciting for me. It leaves me with hope for a better year and god knows we all need one. I thank the makers for showing faith in me and my co-actors for keeping me on my toes. Most of all, a big thanks to the viewers for their love," Anupria said.

The actress essays the role of Nikhat Hussain, a criminal defence lawyer, in the series that also features Kirti Kulhari, Pankaj Tripathi, Ashish Vidyarthi, Jisshu Sengupta, Shilpa Shukla, Pankaj Saraswat, Ayaz Khan, Kalyanee Mulay, Ajeet Singh Palawat, Khushboo Atre, and Tirrtha Murbadkar.

The eight-part courtroom drama series has been directed by Rohan Sippy and Arjun Mukerjee, and written by Apurva Asrani.

Anupria was also recently seen in "Aashram: Chapter 2 -- The Dark Side". She essayed the role of forensic expert Dr Natasha in the series by Prakash Jha.
