Minor who inadvertently crossed LoC repatriated


Jammu, Jan 8 (IANS): A minor, who had inadvertently crossed the Line of Control (LoC) from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) to Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, has been repatriated, the army said on Friday.

Ali Haidar, 14, had crossed the LoC into the Indian side on December 31 and was apprehended by a police party near the Batar nallah in Poonch. He has been handed over to the Pakistan army.

"Ali Haider, son of Mohd Sharief and resident of Mirpur (PoJK), who had inadvertently crossed over to our side of the LoC on December 31, has been handed over to the Pakistan army," the Indian army said.

On December 7, two girls, who had inadvertently crossed into the Indian side in Poonch, were repatriated by the army.
