TN CM condemns demolition of Mullivaikal Memorial in Sri Lanka


Chennai, Jan 9 (IANS): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami on Saturday condemned the demolition of the Mullivaikal Memorial at the Jaffna University in Sri Lanka by their government.

In a tweet, Palaniswami said it was a great shock to hear about the demolition memorial built-in memory of the students and public who were killed mercilessly in the internal war in Sri Lanka.

Palaniswami condemned the Sri Lankan government and the Vice Chancellor of the Jaffna University for this act which has pained the Tamils world over.

Condemning the demolition, DMK President M.K. Stalin said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should also condemn for such act.
