CBI shifts suspended JE to Delhi for tests in child


New Delhi, Jan 11 (IANS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has shifted an arrested Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department Junior Engineer arrested in a case of sexual exploitation of children to Delhi for certain medical tests at AIIMS, sources said on Monday.

The CBI had arrested Ram Bhawan in November 2020 on charge of sexually exploiting around 50 minors in 10 years and selling video clips and photographs of his sexual acts on the dark net to paedophiles across the globe.

A CBI source related to the probe told IANS: "The accused was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for tests on Saturday after the CBI got seven days for getting medical tests conducted on him. A team of AIIMS doctors are conducting tests, including his mental balance and HIV."

Bhawan, a resident of Chitrakoot, was sexually exploiting minors and was arrested from Banda district. The CBI had seized eight mobile phones, around Rs 8 lakh, sex toys, laptop, and other digital evidence regarding his abuse of children.
