Puttur: KSRTC conductor alleges harassment, consumes poison

Puttur, Jan 12: A Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC)'s BC Road unit conductor, alleging harassment, came to the office of the divisional controller here on Monday January 11 with an intention complain about harassment. He had consumed some poisonous substance before that.

When conveying his complaint, he collapsed and fell ill. He was immediately admitted into a hospital.

Nagesh (57), a bus conductor of KSRTC's BC Road unit had approached the divisional controller at Puttur on Monday, claiming that he was being subjected to harassment in the matter of deployment on duty, and seeking justice. As he had already consumed a poisonous substance, he fell ill in the office. He was immediately admitted into the government hospital here. After treatment, he escaped from danger, it is learnt.

A report in this connection was registered in Puttur town police station.

Nagesh happens to be the younger brother of cyanide serial killer, Mohan. It is said that he had never complained to the divisional controller so far about any harassment. Before coming to the office for complaining, he had consumed poison. Puttur divisional controller, Jayakar Shetty, said that the oral complaint made by conductor Nagesh would be investigated.
