Abu Dhabi: Middle East's First 3D TV Network Launched


Abu Dhabi, Jun 14 (IANS/WAM): The UAE-based telecommunications service provider Etisalat has launched the Middle East's first 3D television network.

"We are proud to position UAE as one of the first five countries in the world to bring home the 3D technology for its residents and to be the first operator in the region to launch this service," WAM reported Sunday quoting Ahmad Abdulkarim Julfar, chief operating officer of Etisalat Group.

Other countries which launched the service are France, Belgium, Portugal and Switzerland.
