Dubai Launches Health Campaign


Dubai, June 15 (IANS/WAM) The Dubai Municipality has launched a campaign to create awareness about heat related health problems during summer.

The public Health and Safety Department director of Dubai Municipality, Redha Hassan Salman launched the campaign Monday.

It is being organised for the second consecutive year and would continue till July 31. It will focus mainly on labourers and beach-goers.

"The campaign stresses the importance of commitment to laws issued by the municipality with respect to safety of workers. We want to educate all sections of the society on the dangers of heat stress," said Salman.

He said the campaign would cover 18 sites, including public places like jogging tracks, shopping centres, parks, metro stations and beaches.
