Mangaluru, Jan 22: Sharan Pumpwell, divisional secretary of VHP has made serious allegations on PFI and SDPI that both organizations are behind the attempt on life of the policemen which occurred in the city a few days ago.

Talking to a news daily, he said, "Activists of SDPI and PFI tried to murder policemen as revenge to the death of their activists in the police firing that occurred in the city in December 2019. All the arrested accused belong to both organizations.

"Four people from Kudroli, two each from Bajpe and Bantwal are arrested by the police in the murder attempt on policeman. All these three places are centres of PFI and SDPI. As Bantwal is their basic centre, this is a well-planned attack. PFI has used young boys for this act. Night Revat tablet, which causes hallucination is given to these boys to carry out the murder. PFI and SDPI have done this attempt in the name of 'Maya Gang'.

"Systematic plan is done to kill policemen. So the police department has to conduct a deep investigation in this matter. Let those who provided financial and logistical support for this attempt also get arrested. There is 100% involvement of leaders of SDPI and PFI of Dakshina Kannada in this murder attempt. It is impossible that this act will be carried out without their instructions. Leaders of SDPI and PFI should be arrested immediately,” he said.
