Mangaluru: Workshop on Robotics held at Srinivas University

Mangaluru, Jan 22: HoloSuit Singapore in association with Srinivas University, here, organised a workshop on Robotics at Srinivas University, College of Engineering and Technology, Mukka, here on January 22.

Harsha Kikkere, CEO, HoloSuit Pvt Ltd, Singapore was the speaker at the workshop. He said that his main aim is to make the students most inventive so that young students could contribute to Invent India along with make in India.

Using virtual reality, HoloSuit also provides training to the Indian army. Robots will help the army to defend the nation. By installing robots, the military personnel’s life can be saved. At the same time, robots can be used in agriculture using the concept of agri-tech where its operations can be better understood in technical farming.

Dr P S Aithal - the vice-chancellor spoke about the advantages of HoloSuit collaboration and prospects for the students in these emerging areas.

According to 2019 central financial budget, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Robotics are the highest paying job areas where Srinivas University is the only university in south India which provides BTech course in latest areas of robotics, AI, IOT and ML in collaboration with HoloSuit.

Dr Thomas Pinto, the dean and principal of Srinivas University College of Engineering and Technology introduced the guest. Dr Anil Kumar - registrar, Lt Dr Suresh Kumar - controller of examination, HODs, faculty and students were present at the programme.
