Mangaluru, Jan 29: Expert Group of Institutions proudly introduced the newest addition to its arsenal, the Riso ComColor GD9630 High –Speed Inkjet Printer.
It is the fastest printer in the world, boasting a record-breaking full-colour print speed of 160 pages per minute, which means it can print about 800 pages in just 5 minutes. It uses a quick-drying oil-based pigment ink that is resistant to degradation from light and water. A unique five-colour technology ensures that images are enriched and the overall colour quality is enhanced.
The printer is coupled with a multi-function finisher that saves time by automatically stapling, punching holes and folding documents into booklets to give a completely finished high-quality product as the output.
The machine is eco-friendly, aligning with Expert’s goal to contribute to a cleaner and greener future. It uses much less power than other printers and boasts of many other energy-efficient innovations. It is an ENERGY STAR® certified printer.
Professor Narendra L Nayak, the chairman of Expert Group of Institutions inaugurated the printer. Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice-chairperson of Expert Group of Institutions switched on the machine to print the first booklet. Earlier, the traditional puja was offered by K Shrinivasa, HOD of Sanskrit.
Ankush N Nayak, the director of Information Technology of Expert Group of Institutions; Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal of Valachil campus; Deekshan Rai, a technical engineer from Riso India; Prasanna Karant, service engineer from Shri Bharathi Systems, Raghavendra Shenoy, vice-principal and members of the staff were present on the occasion. Anitha Shetty from the department of English welcomed the dignitaries, anchored the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
