London, June 21 (IANS) Prince Harry's relationship with his girlfriend Chelsy Davy is said to be in trouble after the latter announced she wants to return to Africa and be with her family.
Davy, born in Zimbabwe, moved to England two years ago to strengthen her six-year relationship with Harry. But now she is missing her home too much and wants to return to her parents, reports dailymail.co.uk.
"They categorically have not split up. Although they have always largely conducted their romance a continent apart, both were relatively carefree students. This time they are at very different stages of their lives and careers," said a senior royal source.
Harry, 25, who is holidaying in Africa after completing a joint tour of the region with his elder brother Prince William, is about to start a gruelling course with the Army Air Corps to become an Apache helicopter pilot.
His timetable will offer him little time to jet off to Africa to keep his relationship alive.
"Truthfully, the only way I can see this relationship working in the long term is for Harry to give up his royal life in England and move to Africa permanently. But it is unlikely that will ever be allowed," said a friend.
Last week, during a trip to Lesotho, where his charity Sentebale is based, Harry was asked about his future plans. He replied: "Professional surfer, wildlife photographer, helicopter pilot and live in Africa."
