'Chapter Closed', Jaswant Singh Rejoins BJP

New Delhi, Jun 24 (IANS): Lok Sabha MP and former external affairs minister Jaswant Singh rejoined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)on Thursday -- ten months after he was expelled from the party over his book praising Pakistan founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He said it felt good to be back.

"Its good to be back in a familiar surrounding among familiar faces. I thank (senior party leader L.K.) Advani-ji who took the initiative and telephoned me to come over and meet him," Singh told media persons at the BJP headquarters here.

"When I met him, I experienced much more gratitude, generosity and graciousness compared to the humiliation I experienced when I was expelled from the party. He asked me to come back and consider the chapter as closed," he said.

Welcoming Singh back to the party fold, Advani said: "It's a matter of happiness and sense of relief that he is back in the party. I welcome him and I am confident we will get his support and direction for running the party."

BJP chief Nitin Gadkari said what has happened is past and "we should live in the present".
Singh, who is the MP from Darjeeling, was re-admitted into the party in the presence of senior leaders including Advani, Gadkari and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj.

We never had such a shame and such a foreign minister who accompanied a criminal with 13 other criminals letting loose only because of Mrs. Sushma Swarja's husband was in the hijacked plane to Kandahar. Mr. Jaswanth's joining of bjp will be another black day for our country as there is no party to take him rather to return and praise Mohd Ali Jinnah.

I am the regular reader of Comments section in Daijiworld. After going through almost all the comments, what I observe is: though Daijiworld has provided a good platform for discussion, some miscreants misuse this opportunity wasting their time always opposing the others personally. These people do not have any other work, hence throw cow-dung on each other.

I request Daijiworld to block these users from comments section.

    Mr Nagesh Prabhu/Udupi,

You are unnecessarily provoking the others and drifting away from the topic, which is not a healthy sign. You have hatred towards your own fellow Indian, but of course from other community. I request you to be more sensible and responsible in your comments. United we stand and devided we fall. We need a peaceful society for our future generation. Stop this venom. Venom is the root cause of terrorism. Such venomous citizens are the open and d enemies of our country and there is an urgent need to defeat these enemies if we want to march forward and build a strong India.

What would be JINNAH's stand of BJP under the circmstances??BJP has so many problems in the central level(out of power for two terms...,no concrete saidanthika policy of hindutva, desreted by coaliation partners in TN,AP,WB, Orissa,Jarkhand and finally in Bihar) are lead to take back Jasawath Singh to BJP's fold.A.Shourie will be the next man followed by Uma Bharathi.BJP certainly need to revitalise the party to keep it's workers alrt and amused.Political Parties downfall will start when they are not in power for quite long time.

There are two shows in the world so
    similar: politics and professional
    wrestling. The onlookers are
    simply fooled, and they sometimes
get serious and fight each other.

    In politics, the onlookers may
start killing each other. Politics, what a great drama!
