Break failures are very rare. If properly investgated the vehicle manufacturer can be sued. sadly in India it is the simplest of way to get out of an accident mess.

Sad news.Everybody knows in Mangalore roads are worsened than any other place. First of all roads are not widened and sand, mud, stones are lying on majority of all the roads.Widening of the roads started but still going on or work stopped or pending? for how many years? Nobody knows. This accident happened mainly because of narrow road there is no space for the travel of 2 vehicles at the same time, where several small vehicles such as cars are parking in that area. There is no safety place to walk on the roads. Where are the concerned authorities are they sleeping now? before the heavy rains why they not completed the road repair or widening work? There should be separate parking place. 4 wheeler Vehicles are not supposed to park on roadside. We request the concerned authorities to do the needful. Thank you.

Very sad news. At the same time Thank God for saving lives of all the people.
In Mangalore accident happens mainly because of improper roads. Everywhere work is going on or incomplete. Moreover during heavy rain its very difficult to drive in these humpy dumpy roads. There are sand, mud still lying on road. It is due to lack of supervision from the traffic, police and the particular administration department to look that all the roads are proper to transport. If the main roads are widened that’s enough. Private buses have no timings to reach, so drivers are making competitions to reach on their time. There should be sufficient gap between 2 buses. A company like KIOCL and many other companies have to maintain their bus safety by checking and inspecting its brake regularly. Many buses are still equipped with old brake system should be changed immediately. God is great So we thank God for saving all the people around there. So we request not only KIOCL but all the company’s to provide good conditioned buses for all the school going children in Mangalore and everywhere and appoint oldaged experienced drivers because they care for children. Moreover person who has responsibility about the roads repairing work we request you to try to complete the road work immediately because otherwise you are the reason for all the accidents and you should be answerable to God.
If everybody has done best in their duty there is no question of complaining anyone.

whenever there is an accident the drivers first say and blame the BRAKES saying BRAKE FAIL .This is the 21st century where most of the vehicles are equipped with TANDEM BRAKING SYSTEM which will have 40percent of brakes even when the brakes r failed.SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS should be of quite old aged and who are to be specially trained, and also take the responsibility of reaching the innocent children safe to school as what they do in DUBAI SCHOOL BUSES.

The driver of the KIOCL school bus was taking reverse due to break failure that too on the slope and the school bus has hit the city bus and even for this the city bus owner has been blamed for negligent and rash driving of the driver very well said Mr. Shekar, the owner of the school bis is KIOCL company so do you want to drag the KIOCL company to the courts for the rash driving of the driver. Why dont we blame the authorities for this, it is due to lack of supervision from the transport, traffic, police and the administration department to look further into the matters, but overall even the public is to be blamed, why because when ever ther is a road widening how many of us let out the land for the road-widening programmes, why do people go to courts and get a stay-order, remmeber the Hotel Sujatha turn how long did it take the district administration to pull it down, its almost more than 3 decades where in the case was in the court and the owner was still enjoying the profits of his hotel, and moreover how many of us follow the traffic rules, when we ourselves are not ready to change ourselves how can we expect things for ues to change.

A company bus like KIOCL cannot maintain a bus safety by checking its break and all. Then my question is how it will maintain safety of its plant.
God have to save those employees. It’s a big shame to KIOCL.

sad and very unfortunate to see injured innocent children. Why drivers are not taking extra precaution while driving not travel worthy buses instead ofdriving recklessly at the cost of Passengers.First of all that is the fault of traffic department to allow such not travel worthy buses to ply on the road.Strict action to be taken on the defaulting bus owners.Hope concerned authorities will take note of this and improve the safety of passengers.Shekar Moily Padebettu

do not blame drivers and conductors. just widen the roads and that is the only solution. There is rise in population and buses but the roads remain same and get narrowed some times.

Another story of ill-maintained school bus accident. Are the Private bus taking things for granted or they just playing with the innocence lives..? It seems these peoples have not taken any lesson yet since RTO do not implement any strict measures in saving innocent lifes and hopefully RTO peoples are not offered undertable bribes in to grant permit to them in m.lore
