Mangaluru, Feb 11: A person has been accused of using obscene language against the former corporator Pratibha Kulai during a live interview on a private TV channel. Kulai had recently made headlines for having offered Rs 1 lac to anyone who sprayed ink on the face of district BJP vice president Jagadish Adhikari, as the latter had made derogatory comments against Koti-Chennaya and also former union minister and senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary.

The accused identified as Avinash Birva took to social media and used derogatory language against the corporator when a live interview session was going on in a private TV channel.

The former corporator, who was offended by the action of Birva appealed to the public to provide her with his mobile number and address.

Earlier, the former city corporator and Congress leader Pratibha Kulai had stirred a controversy by announcing a reward of Rs 1 lac to anyone who blackened BJP leader Jagadish Adhikari's face. She had announced she would pay the amount to any Billawa community youth who did the deed within three days.

However, on February 9, as soon as Adhikari visited the Garodi to offer his apologies for the remarks he made, Pratibha Kulai came live on Facebook and announced that she would spend the amount she had offered earlier on the education of underprivileged children.

She only started the nuisance by 'ink' scheme with bounty in social media. Now she is facing problems. One more thing everyone must understand is when you are inside glass house, do not throw stones at others. She has used the opportunity and also needed easy publicity by offering the money and then diverting into charity. Her charity lost its value as she publicized it ......

Well said and good analysis. Why she is dragging the issue? Is it for publicity? She only started the nuisance by 'ink' “1 Lakh” etc. in social media. Other congress leaders like Ms. Kavitha Sanil, Mr. Padmaraj and others behaved with maturity. Adhikari is wrong but he immediately called press meet (at Mangalore Press Club) for apology and after that prayed and begged apology in 2 Garodies. Matter is closed. Then why this lady is frustrated?

Was the person who wrote on social media just overwhelmed with what was happening and decided to vent his frustration. What made him do that. I would suggest go to the cops - they are there to help. Hope no one takes law into their hands. I wouldnt be suprised there are plenty of dibber dobbers too.
