Mangaluru: St Dominic Church holds 50th jubilee anniversary muhurtha of cultural events

Mangaluru, Feb 15: The muhurtha of the 50th jubilee anniversary celebration of St Dominic Church, Ashoknagar was conducted on February 14 at St Dominic parish hall.

Fr Daniel Veigas, superior of St Dominic friary was the chief guest of the inauguration ceremony. Fr Aquin Noronha, the parish priest, Fr Royston D'Souza assistant parish priest, Maxim Crasta, vice-president of the parish, Noreen pinto, secretary, Richard Gonsalves and Satish D'Souza, convenors of the golden jubilee cultural committee were also present on the dais.

The event started with the lighting of the lamp by the distinguished guests.

In his inaugural address, Fr Daniel Veigas asked everyone to actively participate in the jubilee celebrations and make it a grand success. 150 people participated in the inaugural ceremony.

Fr Aquin Noronha explained the sequence of events to be conducted at the cultural event.

Welvin Castelino compered the programme and Julian D'Souza rendered the vote of thanks.
