Kasargod, Feb 15: In a tragic incident on Monday February 15, a child died after a stone from a wall fell on him.

The deceased child is Ritin Chayoth (12), son of Ramesh, a resident of Chayoth Chekley colony. Ritin was climbing the wall while playing when the stone fell on him.

He was rushed to a private hospital at Nileshwar and subsequently to Kannur hospital as his condition was serious but he succumbed to his injuries on the way.

Ritin Chayoth was a fifth standard student at the government higher secondary school.
