Dubai: Car catches fire on highway, gutted

Dubai, Feb 17: A vehicle reportedly caught fire on the Dubai-Al Ain Road, the civil defence said.

Although firefighters fought the blaze and the fire was under control within a short period of time, the vehicle was totally gutted.

The incident caused inconvenience to commuters on the highway.

The civil defence was alerted about the blaze around 5.30 pm on Tuesday, February 16. Within a short span of six minutes, the firefighters reached the spot near Liwan. However, no casualties were reported.
