Bantwal, Feb 19: "The divinity of temples gets enriched if the basic values are retained and festivals and rituals are performed as per procedure. I feel that the idea of opening counselling centres in the centres of faith should be given a serious consideration," said head of Kemaru Sri Isha Vittaladasa Swamiji.
He was speaking at the religious meet organized after the conclusion of Brahmakalashotsava at Karenki Durgaparameshwari temple.
Former minister, B Nagaraja Shetty, said that this temple could witness three Brahmakalashotsavas in a matter of 12 years because of this devotional background of the people. The programme was presided over by Suresh Vasudeva Baliga, honorary president of the administrative committee. Astrologer, Raghava Poduval and Vasant Gowda were honoured for services. Prizes were distributed to winners of different competitions organized on the occasion.
Nityananda Bhajana Mandir president, Dinesh Bhandary, Rajakesari founder, Deepak G, temple administrative council president, Narayan Gowda were present.
