Govt decides withdrawing all cases related to Sabarimala, CAA

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 24: Relating to the cases registered over protests in connection with the Sabarimala women entry and Citizenship Amendment, the state cabinet has decided to withdraw all cases related to these. The government is said to be withdrawing all cases except serious criminal offences.

Previously, associations including NSS and BJP had demanded the cancellation of the cases related to Sabarimala women entry protest. The government is not said to have taken this crucial decision in view of the assembly elections.

The cabinet meet is also likely to decide on the PSC appointment row and deep fishing contract.
