Mangaluru: Mount Carmel Central School holds 'Rose Campaign - Say No to Tobacco'

Mangaluru, Feb 24: 'Eliminate Tobacco from your life, before it kills you'. As per the circular from the District Health and Family Welfare Department, Mount Carmel Central School on February 24 participated in a Rose Campaign, highlighting the impact of tobacco use and ways to fight it back during this pandemic.

The students and staff organized an awareness drive and visited the neighbouring shops creating awareness in the public on the dangers of using tobacco and what people can do to claim their right to health and healthy living, thus to protect future generation through a song, displaying placards and a short yet strong message by the students, requesting shop owners to support the campaign.

As a gesture of this campaign, a rose was offered to the shop owners and they were requested not to sell tobacco products in their shops and thereby help in creating a tobacco free environment around the school campus.
