Now, Advani Appeals to Hegde to Withdraw Resignation

New Delhi, Jul 3 (PTI): Senior BJP leader L K Advani today appealed to Karnataka Lokayukta Santosh Hegde, who had stepped down from his post alleging corruption in the state, to withdraw his resignation.

"I appeal to him to kindly withdraw his resignation," Advani said in a statement.

Hegde had alleged that there was rampant corruption in the southern state, including in the government, which was making it difficult for him to function and submitted his resignation.

"I have known Justice Santosh Hegde for a long time. He is an eminent jurist for whom all of us have great respect. As Lokayukta of Karnataka, he has certain concerns, I am sure the state government of Karnataka will address them earnestly," Advani said.

There were requests from several quarters, including from Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, to Hegde asking him to take back his resignation.

Dear All, I see a lot of speculation and doubt created in minds of every one around. Yes, when politicians made him to chnage his mind means anything can happen.. But it is too early to suspect Santosh hegde's charecter. It is easier to fight corruption with "some power" in his hands than try to fight standing outside without any power. I think he has taken a right decision.Think that Hegde didnt take back his resignation, what would have happened next? You and me would have surely forgot Hegde after few months.. and the politics would have won easily. Now atleast we have some Hope..Let us hope.."All is Well"

All these silly people who directly talk some dirty words about Reddy brothers, should understand they are abusing the Supreme court. Because already supreme court given permission to Reddy brothers to do the mining. Nothing found illegal, if they are illegal then everybody who is mining are doing illegal mining in Karnataka as well as in the country.

If that is the case them central governement should have the guts to ban all sort of mining in the country. Nobody has the right to talk about only karnataka. All who commented these silly abuse on Advani, Yediyurappa & Reddys are really timids who cannot do anything but can only abuse others. adye pojankere avandinaye per pojankdege......nice proverb in tulu.

MR. Santosh Kumar Udupi, Mr. Advaniji was thrown out by the citizens of India thereby dousing his last dream of becoming Prime Minister. Now he has to join the hands to atone for his past sins. If a poor man murders his wife now would have been in jail where as the murderer accused C.M. is rounding in the Helicopters. I think Mr. Santosh Udupi is a supporter of Mr. Advani and Mr. Yeddyurappa. I have no problems of becoming a supporter. But he seems to be zealous of other supporters isn't it biased comment. Justice must be to the poor persons as well as to the rich persons. Justice must be for all.

Just see the cunning look in his face and the folded hands say millions of things. Loh purush has been sidelined by his wn party men and now iron has started rusting and whithering. Its better for Advani to take volunteer retirement from politics with grace before he is outsted with disgrace. Good for nohting.

Dear Advaniji, Inform Good will of men like Justice Santosh Hegde to conduct investigation of the murder of Mr. Yeddyurappa's wife or let the CBI take over this case. Women of Karnataka are disgraced by Mr. Yeddyurappa. I need CBI inquiry or Dr. Hegde conduct the investigation at the soonest possible. So that she and the Karnataka women get justice from the justice department. Home Minister P. Chidambaram has already urged Dr. Santosh to withdraw resignation. The bjp and Mr. LK Advani are awakened by calculating the sleepy days and situation of the danger falling upon them or what by the resignation???

    Folks,

This is a tough choice for Santosh Hegde to make, one side his client(inmate of Bangalore Cenrtal Jail and political prisoner during emergency) Mr LK advani, who perhaps was responsible for his elevation to Advocate General of Karnataka, Attorney General of India and Justice of Supreme court of India.

On other side he has principles taught by his illustrious late father Justice KS Hegde.

Whichever side he takes , perhaps he cant be happy man.......

Well said Mr. Vijay. This is nothing but 'haath jod' party. They will not try to punish those who have prompted honest person like Mr. Hegde to resign, but, will request him to blindly work for the mafia. Mr. Hegde, you have made every Kannadia proud. May God bless you with best of health & enough strength to stand against corruption.

Dear Advaniji, The issue here is not Justice Santhosh Hegde's resignation but of Karnataka Government's support for for corruption and control of entire Government's machinery by Bellary Mining mafia led by REDDY brothers and their supporters. Please get your party leadership to show impartiality into the inquiry of the whole illegal mining issue and punish those responsible like any other common citizen. Nation's wealth has been looted systamactically for years and only honest men like Justice Santhosh Hegde are paying the price. Please use your power to deliver justice & honour to the Constitutional authority & Justice.Santhosh Hegde and the entire 6 crore people of Karnataka. . Jai Hind.

Intlegent politics ! Wise move !It is great to know all party leaders supporting Mr Hegde means gradually heat of Hegde's resignation rising above 50 degree celsius which is evident from the support of all quarters from the day one.

Mr Adwani's intervention makes this issue beyond border along with Mr Chidamberam's request.Any way it is too late to pacify Mr Hegde.Let us wait for positive outcome.
