Udupi: St Mary’s College holds parent-teacher meet for BCA students

Udupi, Feb 26: The Department of Computer Science of St Mary’s College, Shirva on February 26 organized a parent-teacher meeting for the BCA students.

The principal, Dr Herald Ivan Monis in his presidential remarks stressed the crucial role of parents and teachers in moulding the future of students. There is an inevitable need to take a careful step toward the youth. He further said that parents and teachers need to pay more attention to the health of students in order to get away from the evils of society.

The passed out students gave a positive remark about the Computer Science department’s role in assisting students to pursue higher education and placement. He also appreciated the campus placement drive organized recently in the campus.

In the meeting, parents were given a chance to review the students' progress in studies. Lieutenant K Praveen Kumar, head of the Computer Science department and director of Information Technology Club, lecturer Divyashree, Sushma, Prakash, parents, students, teaching and non-teaching faculty members were present. Priyanka and team of II BCA rendered the prayer service.

Kripa, III BCA welcomed the gathering, Shobhitha proposed the vote of thanks while Dakshyani compered the programme.
